Description
Hake Real Estate began in 1915 as Hake Agency, the second oldest continuously running business in Washakie County, and today, it is still a driving force for Real Estate in the area. The 1915 office was located in the Farmer's State Bank Building, a short distance from the current location at 744 Big Horn Avenue, which features a green grass front lawn.
The office is staffed with faces that people in town recognize and know. Most of the agents have been part of Hake for many years. Because of the nature of commission-based sales, in many real estate offices, the agents are territorial and don't share listings with one another. At Hake, the load is shared. Everyone is willing to help the other one because they know that next week, they can expect help when needed.
"My business philosophy is, I'm here as a resource for agents," says Nikki. "I don't take customers or listings away from them. I don't do a lot of listing and selling myself anymore but am here to give support. My goal is to make every agent successful, because when they are, so is Hake Realty."
To maintain the highest level of professionalism, an independent third-party rates Hake Realty from a customer service standpoint. Each customer is given a customer satisfaction survey. Hake has an overall rating of 98% customer service satisfaction in several categories. Two Hake real estate agents have 100% customer satisfaction.
Planning ahead for boom-and-bust cycles in the economy has allowed Hake to be adequately capitalized to weather up-and-down swings. "Having a company that is established and stood the test of time gives me a good feeling. Obviously, I can't take credit for all 107 years," says Nikki, "but just having something that keeps going is kind of neat."
